Happy broody

After months of being broody and sitting on any and all eggs she could find, Chrissie is a very happy mom. She doesn't care that her babies are going to be bigger than her in just a few weeks (they're Brahmas).

Can anybody tell me what Chrissie might be? She is a bantam, about 1-1/2 years old.

I don't know what kind of hen she is but she sure is pretty! Congratulations on your new batch of chicks. How many do I see in that picture?

She hatched eight little bitties. There are a couple under her. Our dog tried to see a little closer and got a sore nose for her troubles. She's such a good mom!
