Hi all - I have a silly question for y'all. I have a new batch of chickens I'm raising and they're about 7 weeks old right now. I've been handling them quite a bit since the last batch I didn't have time to handle and they're not nearly as fun or as personable as previous batches that got lots of handling. Anyway, if they make tiny cheeps when they're sitting on my lap being petted does that mean they're happy and/or content? I don't want to anthropomorphize here, but several of them seemed like they genuinely enjoyed the attention by cheeping softly and just hanging out. Anyway, just curious what any chicken behavior experts thought. LOL
