Happy Chicks

Spent some time watching my chicks this afternoon. Happily little buggers. They had a very active period today, flying from one end of the brooder to the other, jumping up onto their perch and off again, pecking around like crazy. One learned to fly up on top of the feeder, and eat from the top (where you pour the bulk lot of feed it) clever chook!

After all that playing it was time for a snooze, funny how they go from 100% to 0% in the blink of an eye. They are like toddlers.

Aren't they wonderful to watch!!! They have the secret of life down pat: eat, sleep, poop, peck, flap.

It really is all delightfully simple. I know it helps me with my priorities to just watch the chicks . . .
