HAPPY FRIDAY & MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!!! YEEEEHAAAAA

I'm a bit disappointed in what most have responded.
Does anyone remember the purpose of Memorial Day. If not just look out the window and notice everything our Soldiers over time have given that our freedom still survives. We could be speaking German, Russian, Chineese and have a government that dirests everything we do.
Take some time and attend a Memorial Day Service at a local cemetery. I'm from a small community and we read the names of all veterans burried in our cemeteries, former residents buried elsewhere and a special note to those burried on foriegn soil, as they gave all for our freedom.
Now go have some some fun and enjoy. Get off the "I" and say thanks to those that have served to protect our way of life.
Our way of life just may be changing if the current administration is allowed to continue as it has been.

happy holiday weekend everyone!!

Today is the last day of school, my ds graduates from high school tomorrow, (dd from middle on Tues.) and we have a houseful of company coming. Should be fun!! Everyone, enjoy your weekend, and your chickens!!

I'm spending the weekend with my Dad, who is a veteran. He's going to the Texas Chickenstock with me tomorrow in San Marcos, and then we're going to his house for the rest of the weekend.

I will be going to Wenatchee, so this wil probably be my last post for the weekend.

We proudly fly the American Flag at our house too...all year long

I also bought a poppy this morning, from the American Legion ladies who were at my Walmart.

We have the dreaded birthday sleep over tomorrow.

monday we are marching in the Memorial Day parade (scouts!) Then the service at the local cemetery. The girls and I will put flags on the graves of any vet whose grave is not already decorated by family or other organizations.

Then relax as best we can. DH is working.

I am glad he has a job, really I am. But, I wish he didn't have to work on memorial day. I'll probably work in the yard, but no BBQ this year.
