As for the ingredients I don't see much of anything wrong with them. 15.5%protein is not too bad.

""Happy Hen Treats® Treat Tumblers™ are mealworm treats in a ball for chickens! Toss them out and watch them tumble! Your chickens will peck and play with this delicious treat.""" https://happyhentreats.com/products/treat-tumblers

As for their description that your chickens will peck and "play" - for mine I see all out war! More peck than play. :D

All seriousness, if you want to pay the $$ for them, I don't see any harm as long as this is given as a treat as intended.

Personally, with my banties, if I tossed them in to the run, they would probably react the same way they do to a corn cob ... hand grenade, run for cover!!

You can train them out of that mentality... I almost always throw treats at mine (obviously, nothing large or potentially harmful!) I pull stuff from the garden and throw it over the fence, like berries, cherry tomatoes, greens, etc. Instead of running away they all run towards the treats raining down on them.

So true. All they have to see is my arm swing over my head and they know something good is coming. Mine don't seem to mind getting peppered with treats. It's all association...in a good way.

Thank You! :D

I have tried a few things with them and been successful. It took many attempts to get them to accept and enjoy a watermelon quarter. Now they love them.

The corn cob was hilarious and there was no way they were going near it but they were happy to eat the corn out of my hand once I had picked it off the cob.

Everyone says they should love grapes .. nope, miniature hand grenades! LOL

I toss greens in and they pounce on those, tomatoes also, just some things they do not appear to realise it is food. Having said that, before giving up on the hanging treat, I did break pieces of it off and offered it to them; they were not keen so it may just have not been to their liking  Possibly the dark colour and the fact that it does not look like anything else that they usually eat.
