Welcome Tara Jane. I'm from Denver myself . I'm waving from the east as I'm just over the line in SW Nebraska. My little town in pop of 695. and about a third of your altitude.

This is a great place to learn lots about chickens.
There's a bunch of creative, resourceful, and frugal folks here to learn from.
