My hens were free ranging it while we were building a coop and a run 8 ft. by 3ft.
Now when I try to get them in there they squack and protest loudly. We live in the city and are not zoned for them. I was able to get city hall to give us the ok because my daughter is in 4-h and want to do the poultry project next year. So even though we have the ok we need to keep them under control and quiet. I am sure if neighbor complain, the ok is out the door. Help, how can I get them used to it. I will still keep them free range when i am home but when I leave i like to know they are safe in the coop.

Thank you for any suggestions.
