"I thought they killed you!" he said shakily. "I saw them beating you, then they took you away" he said, ignoring the pain in his shoulder.

"I was so afraid id never see you again!" She cried

"How's the baby? They didn't kill it did they?" he asked gently, walking into the stall next to her.

"The baby is fine i can feel its heart beat"

He smiled, gently pressing his nose to the swollen belly on her tiny frame. "I'm glad it's ok, I can't wait till it's born. I'm glad it won't be born there. That old man would not have been kind to it" he said softly.

"Im so glad this woman saved us" she whipered

He nodded. "This has to be better than the old man's place" he said softly.

"I missed you so much" she whispered

"I missed you too. I haven't seen you in months, they took you away" he said softly. "I've watched and waited since they took you. What happened?" he asked gently. "You don't have to say if you don't want to"
