Silver stood beside Pride.  The donkey struggled to get off Hope, and Julie lifted her off.  "Pride! Is that my little half-brother?  What's his name?" she asked excitedly.

Pride pushed Samson farther away "Go away!" She squealed

She looked at Pride, backing up. Julie held Silence outside. She tilted her head. "Why can't I meet him?"

Julie looked at Silence. "Let's get you that bath" she said, leading him towards the barn. She set the saddle down right inside the barn.

Pride didnt answer 'i dont want to have to think about that stupid donkey." She thought

Silence was very spooky snorting every time something moved

The donkey sighed, feeling rejected. "It's because I'm a donkey and not a horse, isn't it? It's because of my parents"

Julie slowly led him into the shower stall.

He froze refusing to move

Julie leaned against the wall, waiting for him. "I'm not going to let you get hurt" she said gently. "I pulled you out of the fence earlier didn't I?"

He slowly entered the stall nervously he had never been in a shelter muchless a barn

Julie closed both gates slowly so that he could see what she was doing.

He watxhed her closely

"Silence buddy, this is where the water comes out" she said, turning it on low so he could see.
