Chipper snorted nervously

The mare looked at Julie curiously, walking to Chipper's other side and resting her head on his back to watch her. She wanted to see what Julie would do. Julie walked to Chipper's shoulder and patted him gently.

Chipper pressed his nose to Julie softly

Julie smiled, rubbing his nose. "Hey Chip" she said softly. The mare watched her, confused. Chipper didn't seem afraid of her, or angry at her. Neither did the other horses.

He closed his eyes his whole body relaxed

Julie kept petting him. "You're a good boy, aren't ya Chip?"
