Shortie lowered his head and sniffed the food, but he was a bit too nervous to eat in front of a human.Misty heard all the commotion and woke up, then began searching for Jackie. She purred when she saw her in the tiny stall beside her and rubbed her head against her. "What's going on?" she asked softly. Jackie sniffed the air, her scarred nose twitching, then instantly started digging a hole. "Get in here, it's a human" she said, trying to sound calm, but it was clear she was terrified. Misty sighed and got in the hole, still purring a bit, knowing Jackie cared about her a lot. Jackie laid over the hole, hiding the kitten.
Julie smiled and lead him into the trailer, tying him loosely and shaking the feed bucket a bit. "Told you there's food" she said with a smile.
Dirt tensed ready for his beating he tucked his flank as much as he could and lowered his head pressing it against the wall trying to guard itRose sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, stretching her neck.
Julie smiled and walked back into the barn and to Dirt's stall.
"I hope so..." Star said quietly"I'm not gonna hurt you" she said, stroking him.
Rose sighed. "Do you think she got Ginger and Gold?"
He groaned when she touched one of his welt's hidden by his long winter coat"Easy buddy, look at me for half a second. Do I have anything that I could use to hurt you?" she asked with a sigh, still stroking him tenderly.
He snorted fearfully and looked at her from the corner of his eye"Sorry buddy" she said softly, quickly pulling her hand away. "Summer and no one has even bothered to brush out your coat" she said with a sigh. "Poor boy"
