Tornado turned away, ignoring the apple. The dentist finished quickly. She pulled the gag out of his mouth and walked out of the stall. Julie thanked her and offered him an apple. "I'm sorry buddy, but don't your teeth feel better now?"
Tornado turned to look at her, then took the apple. He chewed it slowly, and this time, didn't spit it out. He threw back his head, and let out a whinny of happiness.Julie looked at him sadly. "I'm so sorry, but it didn't hurt, it just scared you. Look, it was for your own good. I couldn't let you starve, which is what would have happened otherwise. You couldn't eat, now you can" she said, rubbing his neck.
Tornado shoved her with his nose, liping her hair. She petted him. "See, I told you!" she laughed.
He squealed, and nodded his head. She hugged him. "Now, your teeth AND feet feel good, huh?" she asked, rubbing his forehead.
