A man was putting a halter on Willow roughly She snorted, jerking back. The man grabbed her upper lip. She snorted again. The man dug his fingernails into her lip, drawing blood, then forced her head into the halter, then forced her onto the trailer.

Dogwood and Ross were already on the trailer, after being roughly haltered and loaded. The dark was scaring them, and the unknown.
