"I'm gonna trim off the excess hoof wall. It won't hurt, and will make it easier for you to walk" she said, lifting one of Cloe's hooves.

Julie held the hoof between her knees as she trimmed off the excess hoof wall. She cleaned the hoof with a pick, then used a file to smoothen the edges. She gently placed the hoof down, then moved to the next.
