Willow nuzzled her again.  Julie knocked on her door.

"Come in!" Danny said to Julie stroking Willow's neck.

Hannah timidly followed. "Who was that guy?" she asked.

"That was Danny's dad" she said. "Oh, Danny. Will pulled some parts out of the locks in your dad's car. We made this for you. It's so you can understand the horses, and they can understand you" she said, handing her a small box.

Danny smiled and grabbed the box.

"He's---he's so cruel." Hannah said. She still didn't understand how a parent could be so cruel; after all, she'd grown up most of her life with caring parents. She'd only known kindness from her parents till the day they died in the wreck.
