Peace galloped back down to the barn on spindly foal leg after seeing the dogs and heard the argument. "Some humans are bad, but some are good. One human tried to kill me, but 2 others fought harder to save me. Most of the humans here are nice" she said with simple foal wisdom.

Skyler leapt on Starfire, running full gallop towards the dogs. The dogs panicked and began to run from Starfire, whose hooves were equipped with steel shoes. Skyler kept on them and then she was gone, still chasing them off.

The dogs doubled back, juking Starfire, and headed straight towards Madge. She was old, and somehow they knew this, thinking she would be an easy meal. Madge uttered a piercing whistle, and reared, throwing all but the leader of the dogs off.

Skyler and Starfire raced through the woods, chasing away the rest of the dogs. They leapt over streams and gaps, and ran them off. They halted, the dogs still running. They turned around and came back at a walk, Starfire panting.
