The colt step closer to her sniffing her carefully his ears pricked mischeif twinkled in his eyes

She smiled. "So can I see your leg now?" she asked.

He was nervous but let her touch him

"Hey buddy" she said smiling as she reached out to hold his tiny hoof.

He lifted his hoof but it was clearly painful

She noticed the wire. "Poor baby" she said, running her finger gently over it.

His ears twitched nervously but his mother leaned down and nuzzled him keeping him calm

She smiled at the mare before she tried to figure out how deep the wire was.

The wire was barbed wire the wire its self wasnt very deep but the barbs where dug in deep
