Happy Horse Stables RPG

Hope watched them go.

Julie ran back to the barn and grabbed several towels and dog beds, and several wood shaving bales. She busted them into the trailer and spread them, then filled the feed and water buckets and hay nets. She grabbed a bag of dog feed and several bowls of water. She set up the crates in the back seat, putting 3 towels and 2 dog beds in each huge crate. Then, she started up the truck and drove towards the address.

A man stumbled out of the house, a glass beer bottle in hand. "Stupid dog" he muttered before grabbing her chain collar and dragging her out. He busted the bottle on the ground and then hit her over the head with it, then began kicking and punching her. "Next time someone comes up the driveway, you attack" he slurred angrily, then kicked her in the stomach hard enough to toss her into the air. He grabbed her collar again before she could get away and tied her tightly to a tree, then duct taped her muzzle shut and her paws together. She tried to get away but he kicked her in the chest so that she was nearly crushed into the tree. "She's all yours!" he hollered to Julie, thinking she was someone he had hired to beat her. Killer tried to flatten herself into the ground and he laughed and busted the bottle over her head, then grabbed a chain and beat her with it for a couple of minutes before stumbling away. "Dog's name is Killer, but the stupid dog won't live up to it" he called after him. Julie waited for him to leave then jumped out of the truck and ran to her. She watched her, terrified, and growled, trying to defend herself.

Julie looked at her collar and frowned. She went back to the truck and got a nylon collar and leash before walking back to her. Killer raised her lip in a snarl, but cowered to the ground away from her. "Shhh, it's ok baby" she said softly, running her hand down the short leash so that she wouldn't have to chase her. Killer looked up at her, big frightened brown eyes looked up at her from the dog's emaciated frame, pleading for help. "It's gonna be ok" she said gently, buckling the new collar on and slipping the chain off after kneeling beside her and holding her to her side. She clipped the leash to her collar then carried her to the truck. Killer trembled, terrified. No one ever picked her up, normally people beat her where she was tied. Julie put her in the crate and she pressed herself to the back, not noticing the food or water or dog bed. Julie closed the truck door then walked down to the barn.
