She sighed and licked her mother's cheek.

Julie put her hand on the dog's head and the dog started trembling, still not leaving her spot. She closed her eyes tightly and covered her head with her paws, expecting a beating with a bat or whip like she normally got.

Mika open her eye slightly her eye's where glazed over from pain and looked dead

Melissa walked out to meet them.

Julie looked at the dog for a moment. The dog's long, matted coat was not appropriate for summer. She hoped she had a large enough crate in her truck as she clipped a leash to her collar.
She snarled, she didn't want to be taken from her kitten.
"It's ok girl, I won't hurt you" Julie said gently.
Jackie looked up at her, scared.

Julie sighed and lifted the dog, she was barely half the weight she should be. She frowned and noticed the kitten.. She picked her up and the kitten instantly started purring. She carried them to the truck.

"Hello" Melissa said, smiling warmly.

"Hello." Nikki said smiling back "I realize we haven't called or anything but we are showing and the stable we where going to stay at back out last second. Please tell me you have to open stall's." She said quickly seeming very frustrated
