I'll explain in a short story my dad and mom for the past two days have seen this fawn in one of our fields and today it rained really hard flooded everything my dad saved the deer and brought it up carrying it to the house then we bathed her and wrapped her in blanket she was dehydrated and had diarrhea and her tongue was dropping pretty soon after we called the game commission tho come get her she died I cried my eyes out that such as little baby could die.....

Well, no, they could be molting like they should every summer, when this happens they don't lay much.
