Happy new chicken owner

Thanks for adding me to the group! We are raising 5 very happy chickens. Thinking of getting a duck as I've heard they eat flies. Does anyone know if it's legal to keep a duck in Fair Oaks? Also,I heard from a neighbor the limit of chickens is 3. Is that true?

Does your neighbor also have chickens? It would be best if you inquired at your village or town hall, to know what is truly legal., so you won't run afoul of the law and have to give them up.

I wouldn't count on one duck ending your fly problem. Maybe it won't like their taste. Chickens also eat flies but other things too. If you put your state name in the search box, you can find others who may leave near you. Welcome to BYC
