We can't afford to help people. All of our money is spent propping up governments to support our policies and protecting our oil interest. If it was up to about half of America we wouldn't even spend any money keeping our own people alive.

That being said, everyone have a nice turkey day. Get away from the realities of life for a day and enjoy your family all being in one place. Thanks God if you believe in him for what you have and for not allowing you to starve to death.
