*UPDATE* So I got my first chickens and a duck 10 days ago. I have 2 Araucanas, a buff orpington, and a polish crested. The duck is a Cayuga. Then 6 days later, a friend showed up with two more amber colored crested polish. Obviously the duck was growing exponentially and looked put out, so two days ago, I got another Cayuga that was only a few days old. Their names in order are Trixie, DT, Molly, Margo, Shirley, Laverne and Daryl (first duck) and Peppers (new duck). It was so cute when Pepper joined them in the brooder box, Daryl was so happy. They now sleep next to each other and Daryl helps Pepper get the wood chips out of her mouth. Coop materials will be picked up either later today or Sunday and then building begins. I've learned so much over the past 10 days, it's crazy. I love my flock.
