Hello BYC group. I am a brand new chicken owner/lover from Michigan’s beautiful northern “tip of the mitt” area. We have 12 chicks hatched 6/4/18-2 meat birds, 5 Barred Rock, 3 Isa Browns, and 2 Buff Orpington. So far they are doing very well, and we just moved them from a small garage brooder to a large coop yesterday. Hoping to have our run built soon, and also hoping to keep them free-ranging part of the time too. We do have LOTS of predators here on our almost 5 acres, including bear, coyote, Fox, bald eagles, hawks etc. Keeping them safe and healthy is our #1 priority! Thanks for creating a great place for education and connections!
