(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We have had chickens for about 5 years now, but are now getting into the meat chicken business. We just did 50 for our family and have another 50 almost ready for processing that will be for sale. It's been an AWESOME learning experience!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 65 50 meat, 15 laying hens.
(3) What breeds do you have? Rhone Island Red, barred rock, cornish x.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Farm fresh eggs and meat for our family!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Serving in local ministries.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. It's all about family for us. I want to teach my two boys how to live off the land and be good stewards of farm animals! My wife did not grow up farming, but she loves the lifestyle! She's a HUGE help around our small farm! We have goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, and a dog!
