Happy to be here :)

Thank you for the welcome Drumstick and Ezzstar.

Still working on the coop, have decided to make some changes in order for it to work better for what I want to do.
Plus, broke my leg so am sidelined for the time being. Should be good to go in about 5 weeks and I'm very excited about that.
In the time being I am, like I said, redesigning my coop to make a better work environment for both myself and the Babies. Fact is I could use any help anyone has to offer as far as that goes. I need it easy access as I am partially physically disabled and this flock will be my therapy animals as well as providing meat and eggs for family and friends (the neighbor guy is going to be my partner in this little endeavor).

Sincerely,
Jodi

Sorry about your leg break! You might want to stop by your state thread and possibly connect with your chicken neighbors. Maybe someone can help you with your coop build. :).....

Oh, and love your screen name....Laughing Raven. Love it!! :)

Aawww, thanks TwoCrows.
My native American totem is the Raven so I honored my brother by using it as a screen name and plan to use it as my hatchery name once I get it going too.

Hopefully I get that dream going before I end up in a wheel chair from the srthritis in my back that is. LOL I'm pretty sure that even that won't stop me from going out to take care of my lovely ladies once they arrive.
Working on gettign the coop sortedd out so I will be able to roll a wheelchair up a ramp, nothing like planning ahead. lol I plan to fight it every step of the way and tooth and nail too.
May your chickens keep you happy and provide excellent nutrition to your family.
