Hello! Im new to chick and fowl ownership. I just received 6 two day old chicks yesterday and 2 two day old goslings through the mail—how exciting its been. My passion is for horses, but I think these birds will quickly become another passion. What is surprising is how complicated the care is (at least the learning curve is steep for me). I live on acreage outside of Las Cruces, NM, but lived most of my life in rural California. My adult children still live on the west coast, but my granddaughter cant wait to come and visit the birds. Thank you for the much needed advice I already found in these forums.
