Hello all. I am excited to be here. Our family had lots of animals years ago with our oldest three children and that was a lovely experience. Unfortunately, we got rid of everything when our daughter was diagnosed with a chronic disease. We all loved our chickens and have missed them more than anything else. Now we have two younger boys who haven’t had the outdoor animal experience, and I’m planning for our next family chickens. The last breed we had and my favorite to date was Buff Orpingtons. I know that I’d like Orpingtons again, but I think we’d like to have a few of the rare breeds this time. Our 12 year old says he wants a few breeds to compare. Anyway, I thought with the rare breeds I’ll probably want to do things a bit differently this time and may need some advice. I’m always happy to learn from those more experienced than myself. Thanks for adding me to the group and I look forward to learning from you all.
