I'm a retired commercial layer flock owner/pullet grower who now enjoys a "few" birds (70-100) just for fun. We have bred and raised Nankins for over 10 years. Love those little birds. We also keep a handful of standard birds for big eggs. Those breeds have varied over the last 10 years. This is the first time raising Easter Eggers and they have me searching the internet trying to figure out if they are pullets or Roos,ha...lead me to BYC.
We also have a Chocolate Lab who is as dedicated to chickens as we are although he has been known to steal a little feed. A Jack Russell who is 18 years old. A couple of Call ducks and too many Peafowl. 6 horses that we trail ride mostly on our own 80 acres. Have owned cattle, goats, donkeys in the past. In general love critters!
