I love my chickens. they lay wonderful eggs with nice shells, but when I hard boil them forget about peeling them. Most of them have thin membranes so they shells adhere to the egg making them impossible to peel...
any suggestions?

try dunking them in very cold water as soon as they're done hard-boiling. that usually does the trick.

someone on here posted that they plunge them immediately into an ice bath after boiling, leaving them in the cold water for 10 mins., then, they leave them in the fridge for a good 5-6 days before peeling. I tried it, it seems to work!

It's because they are fresh. Stale eggs from the shops come out of the shells easily.
Don't keep eggs for boiling in the fridge.
