Hard boiled eggs

If I give my chicks a boiled egg do I need to give them grit? If so how much of each? I'm not sure how old they are but I got them 5 days ago.
I could be wrong, but since hard boild eggs are soft (certainly no harder than chick feed, at least), I don't think so.
No, they wouldn't need grit for eggs. The yolk of the egg is the food they consume when they are inside the shell. It is actually perfect chicken food- designed for a chick!

Grit is necessary when needing to digest whole grains (not cracked commercial feed such as chick starter) or grass/greens/treats.
