which is better to feed my birds with or does it not matter? I was thinking I could just hard boil an egg and then chop the whole thing up to give my quail and chooks.

Either way would be fine.

Of course, if you scramble the eggs, the yolk will be a part of every "beakful," and that's the most nutritious part of the egg.

I scramble them using the microwave, chop them up a little and give them to the girls. I think thats their favorite treat!!

I wouldn't personally feed them raw egg broken out of the shell either... I'd rather they not have *any* extra incentive to sample the contents of a shelless or accidentally broken egg.

But as long as it's cooked, it's whatever you prefer.

Heck, serve them Eggs Benedict if you want

Either way is great!!!, but don't waste the shell, dry it out crush them up and also feed back. Good calcium source.

I ended up hardboiling it and then putting the whole thing in the processor and chopping it really fine, shell and all. This way there was yolk in every bite and egg shell for calcium.
