Hey gang,
Having a problem with one of my ladies. Have a large, baseball sized, very hard lump in her lower abdomen. Size is signifcant compared to her very small size. (Small barred rock). She is eating, drinking and pooping normally. I have read through a number of egg-bound posts, and did a vent check with my finger. I can get up and over the mass with my finger, with tissue in between my finger and the mass, so I dont think its an egg in the tract. Could use some ideas of what else I may be looking at here.
Thanks

Can you take her to a vet?
How old is she?
Is she laying any eggs are they "normal"?

A hard abdomen could be a sign of internal laying (some people call it "egg-bound") like Peritonitis or Salpingitis or something like cancer.
With it being hard, Salpingitis or an oviduct blockage would be more likely than Peritonitis which feels more fluid filled.

Just my best guess.

She is a year and a half old. Haven't seen an egg from her in a while. Vet wants $70 for an exotic pet just to walk in the door...
