Hard time coping with loss- Looking for answers

A very good friend of mine told me how sad she was when she lost her pet fish. I still remember a little goldfish I had when I was about 11, 12 who died and how sad I was. Nothing wrong or strange about getting attached to our pets. Whether it's chickens or fish or dogs or cats... I hope your hen recovers from the loss of her buddy and accepts her flock mates and I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks again. I came home and there were 10 feathers around her as she was laying on the coop ground. I was nervous she was stressed out and depressed but later I held her to make sure there werent mites/lice and about 30 more feathers came out of her.

I am hoping it's just her first molt and maybe she isnt even depressed about Debbie, but stressed because of the molt. She is 16m and hasnt laid an egg in over a week so I assume/really hope that its molting time for her. Though they came out of her thighs which I thought was odd because I read it starts with the head and kind of goes down from there.

Oh well, we shall see!

Psalms 50:10-11
For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills."I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine.

I used to have 3 hens,2 were best buds and 1 was a loner. One died(not the loner) and her friend didn't know what to do. She finaly started following around the loner and then the loner started looking after the little hen. They were best buds til the end of their days.
Maybe yours will bond too.

Thank you so much. The verse means a lot to me. I am a christian but I have a hard time with death none the less, especially with animals and "where do they go?" in the my head everytime I lose one. I am glad things worked out for you and I hope the same goes for me!

Thanks again

I am so very sorry for your loss. I wish more humans were like animals, they love you no matter what... It is the most pure love that there ever was or is.... my thoughts and prayers are with you...
