hardware cloth run

So I am planning a materials list to build my run which will be 5×4×4 + 2.5×6×4 under my coop and I am looking at hardware cloth online and it seems to only come in 2' and 3' tall rolls.

How do you deal with seams? Fasten to a board, "sew" together two ends with a sturdy wire? Have you have found a 4 or 5' tall roll?

Also, how do you fasten to a board? The only other thing I've constructed before was a flying squirrel cage and we used hardware staples, but I know a chicken coop will need to be sturdier than that.

Nevermind i found some 4' hardware cloth. But how do fasten to board u shaped nails? Special tacks?

I put hardware cloth over the windows of my coop, used an electric stapler with 1/2 in staples, it'll work, you gotta put the pressure on them for them to hold, finish off with a hammer if need be.
