Hardware cloth?

I got 4 foot rolls of hardware cloth that I'm going to surround the chicken run in. How do I install it? I have washers and screws to attach it to the posts, but how do I overlap the pieces that are next to each other?

We put a strip of wood where the cloth overlapped and attached the cloth to the strip in most places. In some places my husband weaved a piece of metal thread between the two pieces of cloth.

Loxit rings work wherever you need to splice together pieces of wire:

I overlap a couple of inches, then use these clips to fasten the wire, alternating the seam from left to right, fastening every few inches.

I put a vertical 2x4 in place to attach the wire to. It made sense in my coop but I'm not sure what your coop looks like.

I use Romex wire staples to hold wire in place then put 1x6 over it on top and bottom.

Thanks! I think the vertical 2x4 will work the best, and be the easiest to secure!
