This auction is for a variety of gorgeous birds, that are winter hardy...and laid all winter for me. You should get 12+ eggs!!! I cannot say one negative thing about any of these breeds, as they laid during our worst Ohio weather, and i didnt expect them to do that well. Breeds are Silver/Golden Cuckoo Maran, Black Jersey Giant, Blue Laced Red wyandottes so far. I may add in some other hardy surprise eggs also. So far i have gathered today 5 cuckoo eggs, 2 blrw, 2 black jersey...i will add more over the weekend to this shipment...you will definately get over a dozen, they have been laying well, and we are now hitting almost 60 degree weather here too! (-: Each breed is in it's individual pen,so no cross breeds!! If you would like more info about my breeds, who they came from, etc... just PM me. Each breed came from a breeder, who has very nice typed birds...NO HATCHERY BIRDS HERE!!! Good luck...and enjoy the auctions. Spring is almost sprung...yeahhhh!!!

I forgot to mention: The cuckoo eggs will produce both silver and golden, and will give both french and english in the hatch. A great surprise at hatch time~~egg color varies in them here...some are dark, some are lighter brown like my black jersey eggs, but the lightest eggs so far are producing the lighter golden cuckoos...so i am not culling those hens out. Later this season i will separate the cuckoos out and will have option for silver or goldens, but for now i am enjoying the surprise hatch on this project pen.

The Wyandotte is gorgeous and the JG look nice also. I can not tell from the picture if the Marans have feather legs or not ?

Hi, and Thank You!! Yes, the marans are both english and french...so as i stated, you will get both in the hatch. I have 2 golden roos, one is english which is the lightest golden (my favorite), the darker golden is french...then i have english and french silver roos... they are covering 2 english and 3 french hens. 2 of the hens are golden and are french. Hope that all makes sense!! You are probably wondering why so many boys to girls? I like the color possibilities...and like i said the surprise. I will be adding more pullets very soon though, to help with the ratio. Then hopefully this summer will be where i want to be with a pen of "goldens" in french...and likewise with the silvers. Right now i consider this my project pen... working on the french legs here in both colors...but i prefer the lighter golden boy's color in my golden program, so that is why i am keeping him with the hens.

Update: I gathered 2 more Cuckoo eggs, 2 more Blue Laced Red wyandotte eggs, and 1 more Black Jersey Egg today. Total of 14 eggs so far.
