Suggestions: Looking for the darkest egg-layer

Hi everyone,

Currently I have an assortment of colors in my egg basket, including one Black Copper Marans, a Copper Rock, a few different types of Cuckoo Marans, Welsumers, and Blue Wheaten Marans . I’m interested in finding very dark or even heavy bloom French Black Copper Maran hatching eggs or even chicks. What are your favorites hatcheries? I’m in Oregon, so pretty far from most.

Thank you!
I bought a Midnight Majesty Marans from Tractor Supply ( Hoover's Hatchery sourced) who produces these super dark eggs ( darkest one in the picture). The other MMM I have makes a slightly lighter egg.

I got BCM hatching eggs from a couple of places and these are the eggs from the new flock. First photo, eggs I'm collecting to incubate. Second, a few I collected just for the color. Hard to get really accurate color, if anything the first shot looks a bit lighter than the eggs.
Raising Phoenix Farms, where the first eggs were shipped from is no longer selling BCM eggs unfortunately. The other Greenfire line came from someone fairly local. I'll be looking to sell hatching eggs at some point. I got a 70% hatch rate from South Carolina using FedEx.

Hi! I was wondering what you decided to go with? I am also in Oregon and have trouble finding anyone more local.

Hi! I was wondering what you decided to go with? I am also in Oregon and have trouble finding anyone more local.
I just got 8 BCM in the mail from Sadie Girl Farm of Black Mountain, NC. The chicks are pricey, but according to info and pictures on her website, her BCMs lay very dark eggs and are thru the Greenfire BCM line, known for dark egg color, among other lines I know nothing about. I am only about 5hrs from her, so a lot closer than you, but the chicks were packed very well, with padding, air holes, heat pad, gro-gel, and arrived alive and seem to be healthy. They don't seem weak on arrival, as some of my Meyer Hatchery orders have. I am a long way til these chicks lay their first eggs, but I could send you pictures when that does happen, if you want.
