Harlequin Khaki mix duckling pics

Thanks for sharing! I have one Khaki Campbell female in with my Welsh Harlequins and was trying to figure out if the ducklings hatching today are purebred or mixed. Looks like the mix ends up closer in color to the Khakis.

Here is my 7 week old KC x WH mix female. Just started quacking yesterday.

Those of you that have done this cross, did all of your ducklings have the striped heads? All of mine have had the stripes except for one - he/she is super dark brown, almost black, with no stripes. There aren't any other breeds around - both my boys are WH and my females are pure WH and pure KC.

I've hatched out 7 of them so far and they all had the head stripe. Mom is WH and dad is KC.

All of mine also had facial stripes. But, like Jbently28, my drake was the Khaki and WH hen. I was surprised when mine had facial stripes since Welsh Harlequins are supposed to be from Khakis. I was told that the gene that gets rid of the stripes is recessive and only in the Khakis. Maybe your Welsh Harlequin was carrying both genes (heterozygous)?!
