harness training my young emus

Mine don't mind actually wearing the harness. They just freak when they feel the control of the leash. I am finding that it interferes with taming them. Did you find that as well? I really am new to this and was worried it would interfere with their trust. What do you think? I have had it on them maybe 3 times.

Chickenzoo, I think it was your posts that started me on this in the first place. Maybe I should have started it a couple of weeks sooner than I did but they were so little and fragile then. Right now I think it's best not to do it as they were losing their trust in me.
