Ok I'm new to owning chickens I'm out in the country area so no need for ordinances. But I'm trying to make sure I'm staying legal I'm starting a line of White Cornish for meat and some heritage breeds to sell. I know to get with the NPIP but what else does the state of Kentucky require to sell meat and eggs and to sell/ship live chicks and hatching eggs? I've been looking everywhere but nothing seems to help.

Will your sales be made on site or off the property? How many birds do you plan to raise/process for meat each year and how many dozen eggs do you hope you sell per year? These factors can influence what you will or won't have to do.

The sales will be made on site and at swaps around the area. As for the amount of birds I plan to have 3 breeding trios and birthing 50-150 Cornish for meat. As for eggs I'm looking at under 10 dozen a week. But the main thing is the shipping of live birds and hatching eggs thats going to be my big money and the piece to get in trouble with if not careful.
