Has any one crossed a silkie?

Our good friend Crittercrzy hatched out this yard art. They are out of a buff silkie hen and a cochin rooster that looks a bit like a birchen. The have normal feathering but have five toes. We named them Natalie, Trudie, and Blaire.

I crossed them with production Leghorns 30 years ago to make good broodies, They were very good broodies. We used them for years to hatch goose eggs. I could get broodies also anytime of the year. Sorry no picture.

This is my Hermione. I'm afraid I don't know what the cross is, but I suspect legbar.
She is lovely - quite friendly, goes broody easily but not aggressive with it. She has 5 toes and is only slightly feathered on her legs.
She has proper feathers which are mostly laced, and she lays very tasty bantam sized eggs.

Hope this helps

The one in front is a Silke/Serama cross; she's very tiny and very timid, but I think she's pretty in an oh-my-goodness-what-is-that kinda way.

"Has anyone crossed a silkie" - no, but I ticked off my RIR when I wouldn't let them free range today when its been just so nice and all. Got scolded quit a bit every time I passed the run.

sorry. couldn't resist.
