has anyone AI-ed a goat? is it hard?

now before anyone wants to strangle me because my doe is so young, let me tell you i am getting another doe this weekend, and older one. so my question is, is it hard to AI a goat? i found a website that i can order straws of semen from for a darn reasonable price, and the lady i got my alpines from chose to keep two very low quality bucks this year (i have no idea why) so i do not want to breed my doe (s) to them if i do not have to. is it just as simple as cutting the straw and inserting it when they are in heat? thanks for any help.

Generally I would have to say this should be done by either A) a professional or B) an experienced producer who has been trained by a professional. You might get lucky, but there's more to it than insert and dispense. Most likely you will wind up with an angry doe and wasted money.
