Given their chickens a bath just to give them a bath?

I've never given a chicken a bath for any reason.

Our girls are more "workers" and though we do have some favorites we hold etc. we do not give them baths. Heck our girls would panic if washed and run for the dust bathing area

I always do before a show but there are times that I've been tempted to...just because I could.

Have you seen the PBS documentary, "The History of the American Chicken"? A must see if you haven't, it's on instant play, on Netflix. Anyway a lady on their goes swimming with her Silky chicken and the proceeds to blowdry the chicken with a hairdryer. It was too funny. Can anyone post pictures of their chicken getting a bath?

Did you know that if you stick a chicken in a tub of water, it floats? I bought a chicken at a sale, on a hot day. I gave it water as soon as I got it home. Went back to check about an hour later, it was down. I submersed it in water, trying to cool it off, and it floated. My rooster died, but I was able to save the two hens.

All of my 20 chickens got a bath yesterday. It took me forever! Kidding, they just got very wet when a huge thunderstorm rolled in
