Has anyone bred Pekin and welsh harlequin ducks together??

I cannot imagine you giving her water too hot but I guess it never hurts to be sure.
Me too...but it would explain the "screaming" each time she takes a bite of food, then shakes it off. I even made a new cup, twice. Just worried about her pooping tho. I've only seen a tiny but here & there thru the day. And this new "screaming chirp", you can tell it means something, ya know?!

I wish I had an answer but unfortunately, I have none. miss lydia is in bed by now so we can't ask her. I just don't know what could be wrong. Do you think she's missing the other baby?

Well, funny that you say that. My husband mentioned that so we put the 2 together. Joy was relaxed, tired, and I think happy. They started to sleep, but every few minutes, the new baby, Callie, kept waking up & crawling all over her. So... were joining them as much as possible. But would that make her not eat & poop much ya think?

Asking because when my ducklings were in the brooder they laid on top of each other too. Just wondering if having Callie in with Joy might comfort her.
To be completely honest, no, I do not know that it really bothered her. I guess I was just worried that sleeping on top of her might block off airway or something. So it was more me. But towards the end, Callie wanted to play, Joy wanted to sleep, so they started getting aggravated with eachother. :barnie
But, after just a few little nibble sessions yesterday evening, Joy woke up at 2:40am screaming. Determined she was hungry so I fed her, and she ate pretty good.:bow. Also, yesterday was Seizure -Free, so VERY, VERY Thankful & excited about that. :thumbsup
She woke up this morning, hungry & ready to go so......... day by day.:ya She gets so excited when she sees her food & water cup, the whole time just a hopping up & down l. ll have to record it. Just a tiny, little girl, full of big, Big life.:love

That's a big relief for sure. Being hungry is a good sign. Are you still giving her 5 drops of B complex or have you up her dose? Maybe give run down of all she is getting and how much.
