Has anyone bred Pekin and welsh harlequin ducks together??

She's getting so big! Her bow tie keeps enlarging every time we see a picture of her. Has she had any seizures lately? I haven't heard you say so I'm guessing no I hope!

That’s great news. You can let her been in warm water if you could that might get her to clean out her nares.

So.... I have a question for yall. Joy hatched mostly yellow, with some black here & there. She has a few "feather stalks " poking out here & there, beginning to grow, but....... have yall ever heard of actual DOWN changing color?? Her back is now White down the center. Not feathers, it's still her down.
Her head is still yellow, well, more of a bright, beautiful golden yellow.

It’s pretty looks like Pekin is coming through. As for down changing I guess it does because when you first have ducks and they are yellow their down must change color because I don’t believe I have ever seen a duck that kept their yellow down. She has pretty colors

Yeah, I guess you're right. I just thought I remembered their yellow down falling out and white feathers coming in. But.....my memory is shot so, makes sense.

I've made her a "donut" to sit & lay on. It keeps her upright more when I cant hold her. Her legs dangle in the middle hole & the front & back of her body lean on the cushion. She loves it. We also went to the pet store & were able to find toys that she could actually play with that wouldnt hurt her in anyway. She loves them. So, keeps her busy sometimes. Just hate her congestion right now. Its causing her to sometimes have to open her mouth to breathe. I really cant even see anything in her nares so it must be deeper than that.

Oh yes, for sure. I've actually given the framing job to my husband. That's my plan. Something that can hold her front, chest end and back, tail end. I was kind of thinking like a bigger version of her walker without the wheels or a tripod kind of thing. Just like what you have there looks perfect.
