Has anyone Caponized their rooster?

I've researched this quite a bit when we had our first cockerel who we ended up rehoming. You used to right term. A capon is a caponized rooster.

We've never done this though but it only makes sense if you remove the testes, you remove the testosterone supply, which in turn minimizes male physical characteristics and male behavior. It's kind od a lost art but you may be able to find a vet that may do it or you can do it yourself. I believe a capon will be less aggressive than a rooster and will most likely not crow, it may try to though. A capon will feather differently than a rooster and will be fatter.
