It actually looks temporary to me. Is the mesh they are on top of actually the cover to a much larger brooder below? And I can't read what that sign says. If they are selling the chicks maybe they moved them into the smaller tank just for the sake of selling them? Like just so they don't have to chase and catch them for customers? I don't know. It's just what I think from looking at that picture. Wish I could read all of what that sign says.
It is a poor set up. Maybe the OP could shoot a private e-mail on e-bay to the seller? Let them know how that looks to potential buyers, and that it is having more of a negative impact than a positive one. Aren't chicks against the rules on e-bay? Thought only eggs were allowed, nothing living.
