Has anyone ever crossed a quality orp with a hatchery orp??

It will be very similar to an American in type. Most people don't bother as it waters down the English-type and takes generations to get back.

Edited to add, it would be the same result with an Orpington that adheres to the APA SOP. Most hatchery quality birds have so many issues, too many points on a comb, side sprigs, weight, feather pattern or quality, that it isn't worth doing unless you're just wanting to produce more back yard layers.
