Has anyone ever had a boil on them????

yes I have had plenty being diabetic. get some ichthammol and put on it also hot baths as hot as you can stand it helps there are some old home remedies that work also but the ichthammol works better than anything i have ever used. and trust me I have had plenty of boils some the dr. had to give antibiotics for . just watch what you are doing cause staff can also make boil like abcesses come up. if it hasnt busted in a day or 2 you prob. should go see your dr. to be on the safe side.

one year as a child I kept getting them on my shin bones. Painful. Was told it was brought on by vitamin defficiencies. You have my sympathies!

What is ichthammol? (just googled it) This sounds like the stuff - blackish brown, strong, distinctive smell? - that grandma swore by.

take a hot bath, cut a piece of bacon fat large enough to cover boil, put bandage over that. The next day when you remove bandage and bacon the core should come out. neosporin. Hope this helps.

Well tomorrow hopefully I'll be able to get to the doctors. Thank god I don't have to go to school tomorrow. We think it might be a spider bite or something now. About the size of my hand around the area is swollen and red and then the half dollar size spot in the middle is kinda a purplish/redish/hard thing.

sounds like a massive boil to me I have had plenty like that. another thing if it is a boil don't squeeze it . It is best to pull them apart . squeezing it can cause the infection to spread into deeper tissue. if you dont have ichthmmol ointment use hot compresses to ease the pain, or you can also get oatmeal and mix some salt in it get it as hot as you can stand it on your skin, and put a bandage over it . It will draw it to a head where it can bust.
